Getting a Quilt to TCQ

Have a quilt you want longarmed but are stuck on the last steps of getting your quilt to us? No problem, we’ve got you!!

The most important thing to remember is not to stress about it. Hundreds of quilters of all confidence and skill levels, as well as locations, have managed to get their quilts to Trace Creek Quilting. We will just take it step by step and you’ll have your quilt to us in no time.

The first step is to reference the Order Form. The landing page of the order form has individual blog posts that will answer many of the questions folks have. Once you’ve access the order form itself, the entire first page has step by step instructions on how to prep your quilt top. This includes hyperlinks that will take you to individual blog post with further detail about each element. Unsure of the batting options we have? Just click on the BATTING link. How important is it to press your seams? Just click on the PRESS YOUR SEAMS link to read our thoughts.

At the bottom of the first page of the order form are basic instructions for getting your quilt to us as well as our address. Don’t worry, I’ve got additional blog posts that talk about dropping off and mailing your quilt below.

The second page of the order form is what you will complete and include with your quilt. You can fill it out while it’s still on your computer and then print it, or print it first and fill it in with pen/pencil/crayon/etc. At the bottom of this form we repeat our address so you have it with you when you head to the post office or are plugging us into your GPS. (For those of you who are local, we are basically at Lindbergh and 55 in South County.) Just tuck the order form in with your quilt and you are good to go.

How you pack up your quilt will depend on whether you are dropping it off or mailing it. I encourage you to click on the appropriate blog post below for the details most relevant to you.

Still have questions? No worries! Just reach out with your thoughts and we will be happy to get back to you.

We know it can be an effort to get everything together and on it’s way to us. Heck, I struggle with getting my kids together and on their way to school every morning. Just know we are here to help however we can. Let this be your last little bit of motivation: there is nothing quite like getting your quilt back from the longarmer and in the arms of whoever is going to cherish it most. We can’t wait to help make that happen!
