Classes and Presentations

If you or your guild are interested in inviting me out for a class and/or a presentation I would be delighted to chat about the options! Below are my current offerings though you are welcome to ask about other relevant topics you would like for me to explore.

Introduction to Modern Quilting:

This is a great presentation for smaller guilds whose members are largely unfamiliar with what defines modern quilting. It typically includes a 30-45 minute presentation with slides and examples, and then a trunk show of contemporary and modern work from Trace Creek Quilting’s studio.

Trace Creek Quilting’s Story

This presentation shares my journey from being a regular working woman/wife/mom to running a quilting company and all the challenges and successes along the way. It includes a trunk show of my work over the past 10 years and ample time for Q&A.

Corner Booth Quilt Class

The Corner Booth is an excellent intro to making a modern quilt. Before the class even begins I share tips for picking and purchasing modern fabrics. During the class we work through the pattern together, including the curves, sewing long straight seams, and quilting options. In just 3-4 hours all students will leave having made significant progress, if not fully finishing their quilt top.

Booking and Pricing:

Pricing will vary a bit depending on what you would like to book and travel expenses. In general, a presentation plus a class will be about $1000 plus travel expenses. If you are interested, please contact me and I’ll be able to check your dates and share some travel estimates. Once we’ve settled on a date and ballpark pricing I’ll send a contract that nails down the details, collect a down payment and we are booked!
