Helen Quilt, Kitchen Table Quilting

A New Partner and Discount for You!

When I saw the call Erica from Kitchen Table Quilting put out for longarmers to offer a discount for those participating in the Helen Quilt SAL I jumped at the opportunity! What a fun partner and what a fun quilt! I bet you had a wonderful time sewing along, and now that it is time to finish your quilt, we are here for you.

I could not be more excited to be one of 5 longarmers offering you 20% off the longarm quilting services on your finished Helen quilt. We are running the discount now through the end of August so be sure to finish it up, pack it up, and send it my way so you can love it up!

A huge, huge shoutout to Jess Z from the Longarm League who so graciously let me borrow photos of her Helen quilt that she made AND longarmed. I do not have photos of my own work on this particular quilt but wanted you to have a visual of what Trace Creek Quilting could accomplish on yours. This Helen quilt features the Bell Tower pantograph from The Longarm League. It’s spectacular texture and we could certainly use it on yours.

The coolest thing about this quilt from a longarmer’s perspective is that its basically a blank canvas. Stars are so classic and when laid out like this almost anything looks amazing quilted on them. On quilts like this I encourage folks to use their fabrics or the general mood of the quilt as inspiration. Find a floral that compliments the prints, or maybe a masculine geometric pattern to work with rich dark colors. Maybe stick with something classic to honor the tradition of a sawtooth star. Another approach is to find a pantograph you love just as it is and let it have a little moment in the spotlight on your quilt. Something busier or with more detail could work really well without taking anything away from the piecing. Below are a few other pantographs I think would look amazing on a Helen quilt, hopefully you’ll find a couple you love! Be sure to visit our full pantograph library via the button below!

Remember, 20% off the longarming on any of these quilts that arrive by the end of August!!
