2025 Holiday/Winter Break Schedule
Completing Quilts Before The 2025 Holidays
There is nothing better than a homemade quilt gifted to a loved one during the holidays! We would love to help you make that happen. Below is our timeline that ensures we get as many quilts as possible completed in time for your gift giving.
Important note for mail-in customers: USPS, and other services, often experiences delays during this time of the year. We encourage you to keep this in mind when deciding when to ship your quilt to TCQ.
Timeline:
November 17th: This is the last day for quilts to arrive in the studio and be guaranteed a holiday finish. It is assumed we will have until we close to complete these projects and get them back to you unless otherwise discussed. Be sure to note those dates below and reach out with any completion requests that fall before our closing date.
After November 17th: Quilts may still be submitted and we will do our best to turn them around before the holidays, but we are uncomfortable guaranteeing a holiday finish. It is also likely that rush fees will apply, particularly if requesting add-on services like binding. If you do not need your projects before the holidays, feel free to continue sending them so they are in the queue for when we return.
December 15th: Last day for TCQ to send invoices to clients. Locals should schedule pickups by then end of this week (Dec 19th). Mail back clients should pay their invoices no later than December 16th as our last day to print labels will be December 17th.
December 19th: Final open day in 2025. Quilts needed before January 6th must be picked up by this date.
December 20th - January 5th: TCQ studio closed and production paused. Quilts may certainly still be sent via the porch drop box and mail, but no prep work, quilting, or communications about the status of your quilt will be taking place until we reopen. Our usual 4 week production timeline will start on January 5th for all projects that arrive during this time period.
January 5th - January 9th: TCQ will reopen and begin quilting all the quilts that were not addressed from November 18th-December 19th. We will also begin prepping and communicating with all the customers who sent quilts during our break.
Important note: We realize folks may still have holiday orders they would like to send our way after our deadline and I promise we want to help! Last year we were able to extend the deadline a tad and accommodate everyone which was really wonderful. However, after our cut off we are uncomfortable making any blanket promises and prefer to address late arrivals on a case by case basis. Any projects we do not complete will be the first ones addressed when we return to work in January. During this time period, we reserve the right to prioritize projects as needed to accommodate the most customers possible.
Any project that arrives late or needs to be returned home prior to TCQs final days could encounter a rush fee of $50 per service. Please reach out to us to inquire about our current capacity, possibilities, and whether or not any rush fees will apply.
