New Year and New Order Form

Happy New Year and Welcome to the 2024 Order Form!!

You may think it’s just another order form but this is new and improved in a way I’ve been dreaming about for yeeeeeeaaars. What in the world can make an order form so special? I thought you would never ask!

Explanatory blog posts!

I’ve written blog post for as many of the elements on the order form as I could possibly think of. Why do we ask for your backing to be 8” larger than your quilt top? Will we piece your backing? How intensely should you trim your threads? And more! Over the next few months we will be fleshing these out, adding photos, and then featuring them in our emails and on the website. But the basics are there now as a reference while you are preparing your quilt for our longarming services.

HYPERLINKS!!!!

I know I over use exclamation points on a regular basis but you are just going to have to give me this one, mmmkay, because this one is pretty excellent. Within the prep sheet AND the order form itself, anything underlined is a link directly to the blog post most relevant to that bullet point. So if you are wondering if you should prep your binding for us, you can click on anything underlined pertaining to binding services and read more about it! Super handy and helpful!

(You get all the exclamation points now, don’t you?)

You can fill it out on your computer!

This is not a new feature, we’ve had this around for about a year, but not everyone knows about it. While the order form is up on your computer screen, you can click on the fields and type in your information. You can also click a check mark into the appropriate box in each section to indication your preferences. It’s so great! Once you’ve completed it on your computer you can save it, print it, and slip it in with your quilt.

Please Note: you do still have to print it and physically include it with your quilt, even if you’ve filled in all the boxes while it is on your computer. It does not save or submit your responses and we cannot start on your project without an order form.

Also Please Note: You can still fill it out with a pen or pencil. Or crayon, marker, eye liner…. If filling it out while it is pulled up on your computer is not your cup of tea, do not worry. You can still just print it, complete it with a marking tool of your choice, and then include it with your quilt. Old school is still totally cool with me.

2024 is a new year and I’m really excited to be starting it off by improving these types of services for you. We look forward to continuing to put out helpful information that helps you feel confident and knowledgeable about using our services. I’ll see your quilt soon!
