2022 Holiday Schedule

Important Information for Holiday Quilt Completion

There is nothing better than a homemade quilt gifted to a loved one during the holidays! We are here to help make that happen! Below is our timeline that ensures we get as many quilts as possible completed in time for your gift giving. Please know we will do our best to work with you throughout this busy time and early/often communication (as well as getting your quilt to us quickly) is the best recipe for success.

Important note for mail-in customers: USPS has predicted delays and longer shipping times than usual throughout the holiday season. Please keep this in mind when planning both to get your quilt to us and expecting it back!!

Holiday Turnaround UPDATE: As of 11/16 we still have room for several more quilts before we shut down for our winter break. Our new deadline to guarantee a holiday finish is Thanksgiving. After that, we will likely have room for a few more but it will depend on the services requested and the scope of your project. We always do our best to get as many of the holiday requests finished as possible. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns!

Timeline:
November 14th*: Last day for quilts to arrive in the studio and be guaranteed a holiday finish. It is assumed we will have until our final invoicing days (listed below) to complete these projects unless otherwise discussed or noted so be sure to let us know! Last year we were able to extend this deadline until right before Thanksgiving. While we hope to be able to do that again, we won’t know until closer to that time and encourage you to work with our current deadline in mind.
November 15th and beyond**: Quilts may still be submitted but we cannot guarantee a holiday finish.
*December 2nd:
Last day for Fireside and Stars Above Quilts to arrive for a guaranteed holiday finish. This is a prearranged partnership with these designers and the only exceptions to the deadline listed above.
December 12th:
Last day for TCQ to invoice quilts that need to be mailed back to customers.
December 19th: Last day for TCQ to invoice quilts that will be picked up from the studio.
December 21st: Final open day in 2021. Quilts needed before January 9th must be picked up by this date.
December 22rd - January 8th: TCQ studio closed and production paused. Quilts may certainly still be sent via the porch drop box and mail, but no prep work nor quilting will be taking place until we reopen. Our usual 4 week production timeline will start on January 9th for all projects that arrive during this time period.
January 9th - January 13th: TCQ will reopen and begin quilting all the quilts that were not addressed from November 15th-December 21st. We will also begin prepping and communicating with all the customers who sent quilts during our break.

**We realize folks may still have holiday orders they would like completed and we will certainly do our best! However, after our cut off we are uncomfortable making any promises. Any project we cannot complete will be the first ones addressed when we return to work in January. During this time period, we reserve the right to move projects around our priority list in order to accommodate the most customers.

Any project that requires us to work outside of our usual parameters will incur a $50 rush fee. Please reach out to us to inquire about our current capacity, possibilities, and whether or not the rush fee will apply.
