Partnership Discounts

Welcome, Quilty Partners!

In an effort to support and promote creativity in the contemporary and modern quilting world, Trace Creek Quilting excitedly offers a partnership for designers, fabric shops, and other interested industry professionals. Here are the basics, see the accordion menu below for additional details and fine print.

  • 40% off the longarm quilting of any sample that comes our way before a release or big promotional push in which the finished quilt will be featured.

  • Get a $75 credit applied to your account anytime by adding TCQ to your newsletter!

  • A standing discount of 25% off the longarm quilting on any other quilt you would like sent our way that will be billed to you.

  • QAL and event sponsorships available including prizes, discounts, and promotions.

  • TCQ Coupons you can include with any physical products you sell.

  • To help promote you and your amazing work during release, TCQ would like to offer 40% off the longarm quilting of any sample that comes our way before a release or big promotional push in which the finished quilt will be featured.

Examples would be new pattern releases, a new round of a quilt-a-long, books, special publications, new fabric bundles… etc.

These quilts can come from you, a tester, a fabric shop, etc as long as the finished quilt will be featured during the main campaign of the event.

If you are in doubt about whether or not any particular situation or maker fits these parameters please reach out! We don’t want you to feel like you have to guess at whether or not a quilt qualifies.

See the *Discount Fine Print tab below for services and products are/are not included in this discount.

  • Once we are ‘official partners’ (which just means we are excited to be working together!) you will get a standing discount of 25% off the longarm quilting on any other quilt you would like sent our way that will be billed to you.

We do occasionally offer higher discounts on extra special or potentially lucrative opportunities. These are on a case-by-case basis and are usually offered to you, though you can certainly ask if you think you have something super cool in works.

  • Get a $75 credit applied to your account anytime by adding TCQ to your newsletter! We have included two examples of how this has been done at the bottom of this page. The spot should:

    • Be within the top 2-3 spots in your newsletter, we don’t want to be buried too far down, but we certainly don’t expect to be the main event.

    • Include a photo of Trace Creek Quilting’s work.

    • Include a link to our website. This can be our homepage or to a blog post that is relavant to the newsletter such as a specific discount we are offering or blog post about a partnership, etc.

    • Include a sentence or two about how you like us/use us/encourage your audience to check us out.

Some natural-feeling ways and opportunistic moments to add us into your newsletter:

    • When your main topic uses examples of a quilt(s) we’ve quilted. It fits naturally to add in a quick section in the newsletter that mentions us and let’s you use another photo of that quilt. IE ‘Love the quilting on this quilt? We do, too! Trace Creek Quilting is one of our go-to longarm quilters, you should check them out!’

    • At the beginning of a discount offer from us: Maybe during the initial pattern release campaigns. Or in the last, or second to last week of your QAL when folks are starting to think about the quilting step.

    • Toward the deadline of a discount offer from us: If our discount with you runs from June - the end of August, then an email in early August reminds them of the discount and still gives them time to get their quilt to us before the deadline.

    Logistics:

    • We’ve subscribed to your newsletter. We will keep an eye out and when we see a mention come through my admin will add a $75 credit to your account on her next workday. (She works on Mondays.) She will include you on the email memo so you know it is there. It never hurts to give us a heads up the week you are including us in your newsletter so we can keep an eye out.

    • Our system does not allow for customer interfacing so you do not have a way to log in and see for yourself, but you are always welcome to reach out and we can give you the status of your account and make sure we did not miss any of your promotions.

  • To help promote an event, release, or other exciting hullabaloo, TCQ is happy to discuss offering a discount to your audience.

The main requirement is that we have gotten to quilt a sample that will be used during the promotion period of the event.

We usually offer 20% off the longarm quilting services to your audience for a set period of time. The most common examples are for a pattern release - TCQ would offer 20% off for about 2 months after release.

  • Do you send out physical products?? We are more than happy to provide coupons for our longarming services to include in your outgoing packages!

  • Have an event coming up? Let us be a sponsor!

While each event is different and we are happy to consider the best way to participate, here are some of the ways we’ve helped in the past:

    • Running discount on quilts sent to us by a certain deadline.

    • Grand prizes of free longarming, batting, and return shipping.

    • Additional discount to the host for the quilt used as the main sample/promotional quilt of the event.

Some of the most common events are sew/quilt-a-longs, but we’ve also done holiday giveaways, charity giveaways, etc.

  • Social Media: During the main promotional periods of the release/event/etc, TCQ will create posts on social media to help spread the word.

    Website

    • Homepage and Blog: For extended discounts, TCQ will create a blog post with the details that is then linked to the ‘Current Discounts and Sponsorships’ section on our homepage.

    • Friends of TCQ - In the Partnership tab on our homepage, we have lists of those we love to work with. You will be named along with a link to your website.

Email Subscribers: We have a standing section in our newsletter dedicated to the current running discounts and sponsorships.

  • TCQ currently has a staff member who is available for sample making. If you need assistance, especially if you hope to use us for longarming, let us know. It could save everyone some time and energy.

There are lots of ‘if this, then that’ scenarios in regards to sourcing fabric, who keeps the finished quilt, etc. But definitely reach out if you have a need!

  • We are happy to discuss offering a discount to your subscribers!

  • We would LOVE to partner with you! We’ve already worked with a handful of designers such as Alderwood Studios and XOX Sew on their publications and are very open to more of these types of projects!

  • Let’s do it!! I’ve had some fun opportunities in the past such as AGF Look Books and MQG publications and would love to do more if you have something coming up!

  • There is no law for how to credit those who play a part in the creation of a finished quilt. However, the best partners are those who know that it takes a village and isn’t afraid to share that with their consumers. As a good friend in the industry once told me, ‘all boats float and there is room in the sea for us all.’

We consider the following to be the proper and ethical ways to credit any longarmer or individual who assists in the creation of a quilt.

    • Quilting credit every time these quilts are put out into the world. IE: Blog posts, newsletters, and social media posts. A simple line of credit is sufficient.

    • Credit within a pattern for the longarming of the cover quilt, both in the print and digital versions.

    • If the quilt is published or displayed elsewhere outside of the maker’s content (blogs, books, magazines, online subscriptions, look books, quilt shows…) the longarmer should be properly credited. Not all publications ask for longarming information - it is expected that the individual submitting the quilt will actively advocate and ask for the longarming information to be included/displayed.

  • One of the most important things you can do as part of this partnership is share some honest feedback. Feedback on our services, patterns, website, and anything else you think we should be aware of. Your experience reflects the experience your customers may have and we want it to be top notch. Your constructive input of all types helps us become better!

  • We tell the average customer our turnaround is 4 weeks or less. For our design partners we know turnaround often needs to be faster. Our current practice is to bump these quilts as close to the front of the queue as possible and then get them out for some photos. We then get them back to you as quickly as we can. In normal circumstances, we ask for you to expect your quilt to be in our studio for 2 weeks.

However, should you need a faster turnaround, we are always going to try and in most circumstances can make it happen. Just be sure to communicate up front with us, preferably before you send your quilt, to make sure we are all on the same page.

  • Be aware, the holiday season can get a little crazy for us, and while I will always likely find a way to get your project done, it’s super helpful if you can plan with this in mind.

I also take a winter break, usually from around the 20th of December through the 2nd week of January. We typically publish these dates on our blog in August so everyone can plan accordingly.

  • These discounts apply to the longarm quilting only. Return shipping, batting, and additional services such as binding are not included.

There is a minimum $50 charge for the quilting services on all quilts, even after other discounts are applied.
